Financial and Accounting Manager

Responsibilities


  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance and accounting department
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory accounting requirements and internal controls.
  • Establish and enforce proper financial & accounting methods. (policies and principles)
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Develop relevant analysis and report project/corporate financial health and advice to support decision making and strategic planning.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Consolidate the company finance and accounting report.
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
  • Undertake strategic analysis and assist with strategic planning producing long-term business plans.
  • Provide proactively recommendations to enhance operation cost effectiveness and competitiveness through revenue and cost analysis.
  • Control, forecast and oversee financial accounting systems for income, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash. (financial analysis)
  • Manage annual budget setting.
  • Develop and manage financial systems/models and risk assessments.
  • Make recommendations to improve existing process or develop new process to meet strategic and financial objectives.
  • Coach, develop and monitor the finance and accounting team.
  • Ensure financial/accounting compliance throughout the company.
  • Accurate and timely development internal financial/accounting-related management reports.
Qualification


  • 8 years’ experience in finance & accounting, 5 years in management level.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accountancy / professional (CPA and/or CPD).
  • Experience in ERP system and strong background in finance & accounting.
  • Mature, a sense of commitment, initiative, logical, results oriented, an active personality, and independent.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Having a good understanding of local tax regulations and tax authorities will be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, hands on operation, analytical skills and excellent communication skills.
